A: If in the UK they are treated as mini-bus taxis so the maximum they can carry is 8 passengers plus the driver – for 18 you will need 3 of them.
Realistically for 18 people you need a small bus not a limo unless you have lots of money to spend
Q: Hummer H2 VS Infiniti FX35?
I am looking for some real advice (not haters and not whiners).
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Hummer H2, and was all set to buy one (gas is not a major issue here as I don’t travel more than 12 miles a day). NY has hard winters and I need a safe, reliable, vehicle that gets through the bad weather – I don’t have the option of calling in “snow days”.
While out shopping, I spotted the Infiniti FX35 – and found that I also LOVE this car. Yes, I know – it’s apples and oranges . . . but both are very nice vehicles with equal but different costs and benefits.
H2 is slightly higher in gas (10 – 14 mpg compared to 15 – 20 mpg) – BUT FX35 is higher insurance, and probably higher maintenance – which negates the cost in gas.
H2 should be able to get me through any weather conditions without issues – I have not been able to test the FX35.
H2 would be 2005/2006 model with 68k miles on it . . but the H2 is estimated to run for about 300k miles.
The FX35 is a 2009, with 64k miles. Newer vehicle .. . but I don’t know the estimated lifespan for this car. Certainly, I don’t expect 300k???
Any owners of these vehicles have any input? advice?
Please don’t go on and on about the gas in the H2 . . . really the FX is not that great either, so it’s not a major issue in the decision. (Also, the FX requires premium gasoline – which brings the cost of gas per year closer and closer to H2).
I know they don’t make Hummer anymore . . . so should I stay away from it?
I have always wanted the H2, but now I find the FX35 to be a really nice car too. . .

A: I have had four H2’s (2003,2004,2005 &2008). The last production year was 2009.
The 2008 and 2009’s were better in every way than the 2003-2007 production runs. The engine was increased from 6.0L to 6.2L, the Auto trans was changed from a 5spd to a 6spd. The interior was redone in 2008 and the seats were more comfortable.
The off road ability was excellent. the truck can climb better than anything.
if you are looking at a 2005, have the front drive train inspected. Since it is full time 4×4 the front bearings wear out and this is a 2500.00 repair. The 6.0L engine is a workhorse and should not cause you any unusual maintenance? The SUT came out in 2005 and gives you a small pickup bed. with the locking tonneau cover it was more versatile.
If you really want a H2, buy a 2008. you will LOVE it and it will have a 4 year/50k warranty so you will still have a year of warranty hopefully?

A: No, buy a Jeep. Hummers are way to big to be practical daily drivers. A jeep will outrun a Hummer any day both on and offroad.

A: They came standard with LT315/70-17 tires which equates to an overall diameter of about 34.4 inches. Basically H2’s come stock with 35 inch tires.

Q: Hummer H2 price in four years?
How much would a 2005 Hummer H2 SUT cost, four years from now, based on your best predictions? Like, how much would its price decrease each year? Because I plan on driving at like 17, and I’m saving up for one 
I already have like $5,000 without a job (I plan on lifeguarding in a nearby country club at 15; I would be getting $3,000 each summer for it, excluding during the school year.) Do you think I can make it, too, by the way? I’ve always dreamed of owning a Hummer. So I’ll have 12,000 from lifeguarding for three years for the summer, and my 5,000 from Chinese New Year money over the years (Asians have the upper hand here XD), making it 17,000. I’ve seen Hummers in eBay motors for 20,000 right now so far, being 2003 models, though. I wouldn’t really care about the year model, though. It will be my first car, and it won’t matter much to me.
A: If you plan on buying a older model, remember these things love to chew up & spit out front wheel bearings. I just replaced 2 today at the dealership I work at. They are about $460.00 ea here plus labor. I think with labor it runs around $600.00 each side.
Trannys have a bad way of going to crap also, I would try to stay away from Ebay & stick to buying local, at least drive it & have it inspected prior to buying any vehicle.

I want an SUV but I want to stand out because everyone in my town has almost every SUV but the H2-H2 SUT or the Cayenne Turbo. I like roomy SUV’s that’s why I want the hummer but I also like speed & power so I like the Cayenne Turbo, I’m going to be on a 6 year payment term so I want the one that well last & have the least problems so which is best? Also if I go with the H2 is there anything I can do to add more Horsepower to it?(i.e. intake, Exhaust System)
A: No question about it. It’s the Porsche. The hummer is just a normal suv with the looks of a bad boy. Porsche is a super Suv, with an attitude and looks of a bad boy. Technically speaking, the Porsche is superior in everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. As for the hummer underneath it it’s just a big truck.

So in caouple of months I will be truning 15 and I want a Suv for my B-day. My Mom Loves the Range rovers($17,000 used).. And I love the Hummer H2 2003 is about ($15,000 used). We live up north in wisconsin so Snow Will be a contast problem and in our town it gets alot of snow. I’ve heard the Range rover is really bad for a reliable car… Cosumer reviews on a 2003 Hummer H2 are really good! Insucranse for me and My mom(she owns a 2010 Nissan Murano) is around arounf 99.78 a month for both cars! Which one so u think i should choose.. Im a huge guy so handling wont be a prob.
FYI insurance is for both cars.. We get discount for never having an accedent. B or up grades in school and also get a huge discount for both covered with health insurance and dental.

How much do you think it cost to do it?
A: There aren’t many large chain repair shops that do that as it is custom work. Look up some local truck shops in your area and ask what they would charge. If you just want it higher for looks, you want a body lift kit. If you plan on doing serious off roading, you need a suspension lift kit. Body lifts can typically be done for under 1000 bucks, sometimes around 500 bucks depending on how high you want to go. Suspension lifts are many thousands of dollars.
Q: Hooking up a head unit in my 2003 H2 but the speaker wires to the hummer dont work.?
Im stumped on why the speaker wires coming from the dash of the hummer wont work. Ive checked all the fuses and tried using a battery to see if i hear a pop but i hear nothing. any suggestions?

A: Did you do the lockout the stock radio before you removed it to replace it with the new one. If not its the anti theft thats doing that. Had it happen to me on a 94 z28. I just disconnect the battery for 10 min then hooked it back up and it worked fine. Goold luck

To fisrt start off i am turning 16 in january and I am looking for a fisrt car and ,my parents want me to have a SUV bigger car(It’s just in their opinion i guess). I started looking at yukon denalis then I went to hummer because they have the same engine and made by the same company. I am an experienced driver. We own a huge campground all paved and I am on security at night and i drive a lot so LOL dont tell me to hard to handle! I want to know how many people dislike it and if you do tell me why! The hummer h2 for a 2003 runs around 13,000 and i found one for around that price. I am paying with my money. NOT PARENTS>

I do off roading in the summer we have trials at the camper in the wood. I live in northern(way northern) WI and we get tons of snow I need a truck or SUV to even get around.

Hey, I’m 14 and will turn 15 in Nov. My dad is going to give me his 2007 yukon xl denali. I was just wondering if was reasonable to trade it for a hummer h2. My dad is going to buy an escalade. Anyway I mean what is the price difference it is fully loaded and pretty new looking. I would want my hummer to hav nav and tvs and rims u know the usual stuff.

A: Get the H2 I own two fully loaded H2’s and on is the SUV and an SUT and they are both not even close to the yukon they are based off of the H1 and if you look it up you will see that they are and do not “share anything with the yukon so get the Hummer H2 they are better than an escalade. They are also not for guys with something to prove. Guys that say that are the ones that are jealous and envy all Hummer H2 owners.
